Lecturer on Contract
Georgios Chatzichristos studied Economics at the University of Macedonia. He received his MSc in Political Theory from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and his MA in Philosophy from King’s College London (KCL). He received his PhD from the University of the Aegean as a European Union fellow in the programme “Horizon 2020 – Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions – ITN – RurAction. He has taught as a visiting lecturer at the European Public Law Organisation (2020-2021) and as a lecturer at the Department of Social Policy of the Democritus University of Thrace (2021-2022).
He participates as a postdoctoral researcher in the “ReWorkAegean” and “YOUTHShare” projects implemented by the University of the Aegean, which investigate youth unemployment. Finally, he works closely with the LEADER local development network in Greece for which he has worked as an external evaluator.
His research focuses on rural development, social innovation, social economy and qualitative research. His main publications include:
