Lecturer on Contract
Dr. Alexandros Kyriakidis is an Adjunct Lecturer at the Department of Political Science of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Head of Operations and Research of the Center for Research on Democracy and Law at the University of Macedonia, and Academic Coordinator of the research project of the aforementioned Center “Politics and the Justice System of the United States of America” (USPOLJUST). He has served as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Macedonia, as a Lecturer at the European Law and Governance School of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO), and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at LUISS University in Rome and the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP). He was awarded his PhD from the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Macedonia in 2021 with honors, having completed it under a full scholarship from the Greek State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), and he holds an MPhil in Politics from the University of Sheffield (UK), an MSc in Global Politics from the University of Southampton (UK), and a BA in Political Science from the College of Wooster (Ohio, USA) under scholarship. He has served, among others, as a Visiting Researcher at Rhodes College (TN, USA) and as a Researcher in European Union and University of Macedonia-funded research projects. He has authored (ORCiD: https://orcid.org/0000-0003-3341-0674) a number of chapters in edited volumes, articles in academic journals, book reviews and academic blogs, and has presented papers in a number of national and international conferences. His research and teaching interests focus on EU politics and (constitutional) law, Greek politics and law, the United States political and legal system, International Relations, and International Political Economy.
